Letter from the Principal
Welcome to St Patrick’s Primary School. We look forward to working with you in the educating of your child/children within a Catholic learning environment.
St Patrick’s was opened on in March 1857 to meet the need for Catholic Primary School places for Catholic children in the Pakenham area. We aim to foster the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of each student. We aim to do this within a nurturing and welcoming environment where Gospel Values are evident in our relationships, policies and practices.
Each school week we gather for assembly at which we acknowledge that we are part of an Australian Catholic community. We do this by reciting our school prayer, singing the National Anthem and raising the Australian Flag.
The staff at St Patrick's are dedicated, enthusiastic professionals who are committed to providing a stimulating and challenging learning environment. The children are encouraged and supported in achieving their personal best in their learning.
Both the School Board and the Parents and Friends Committee provide practical support and assistance in furthering the growth of the school.
Our Pastoral Care program is not just limited to assisting school students but extends to providing practical and emotional support to families as the need arises. In recognising that the family is the most significant influence upon a child, we see learning as ongoing partnership between home and school.
I hope that this website assists in providing families with an insight into St Patrick’s policies and practices. Should you have further unanswered questions, please feel free to contact the school office.
